When Jimena Marín Foucher married David, son of Diego Fernandez de Cevallos, never imagined that his life became a nightmare of domestic violence. His parents believed that the young son of one of the most powerful and corrupt lawyers in Mexico, would change, but the opposite happened. When Jim asked for help asked for a divorce. Like many powerful aggressors, he locked her up for nearly four months. The isolation, death threats and intimidation of the family settled Fernandez de Cevallos Jimena, ended in a threat: if she wanted a divorce never see their children. Law women access a life free of violence should protect all citizens, but between the letter and its implementation are the collusion of public servants who put justice at the service of the attackers, the powerful.
Maybe the only good thing about this tragedy is that Jim is now protected by society. If something happens to her, her family, all of Mexico will know who is responsible. Jim is not alone.
